Safetysuit...2nd best night of my life!

Have you ever felt extremely passionate about something or someone? Like really found something in this world that made you ubber happy and could turn around any mood no matter how bad it was? I have...besides my hubby...and photography :) When I was a freshman in college, I went with a friend to visit a friend of hers who was attending college in Tulsa, OK. I fell in love with a local band while I was there called Crew. I bought a plain silver CD of theirs for 5.00 and played it until it wouldn't play any longer. I think it lasted through the middle of my senior year of college. After 3 months of not being able to listen to my glorious CD, I decided to do some research. I found them on this wonderful website we all know as myspace. I bought a new cd off their site and life was good again!

I kept up with Crew's myspace page and a year or so down the road they changed their name to Safetysuit. They were finally going somewhere...they were making it big. I saw them in the summer of 2008 at River Riot in Council Bluffs, IA. They were the opening show and only played for 20 minutes but it was 40 dollars well spent. My friend Kayla (who I also converted into a super fan) tagged along with me and after the show we got to meet them AND get their autograph.

A few months ago I got a call from my friend Jodi letting me know that Safetysuit would be here again in Omaha putting on a free show sponsored by a local radio station at a bar only 5 minutes up the street from me! I got off work early that day, got their super early, and yes you guessed it...was in the FRONT ROW! It was seriously the 2nd best night of my life...next to Tony proposing to me of course! :) I'm pretty sure I cried a little bit that night! After the show I and my friends got to meet them again! They even remembered me!

If you haven't heard of them, I would definitely consider checking them out and buying their cd. They are played on The River and Q98.5 here in Omaha and have been in the VH1 top 20 for the last few months! Their music is amazing and moves me every time I listen to them!
